FREE Tesco Clubcard points for turning GREEN !!!!!
Heard a Tesco man on the radio just a little while ago.
DON'T USE NEW CARRIER BAGS AT TESCO !!!!!! (from August 14th anyway !!!)
For every old one you use, or for every new one that you DO NOT use by using cardboard boxes, or "normal" multi-trip shopping bags, or shopping crates or whatever (use a suitcase if that is what you prefer - that's what he said) ......
.... TESCO will award you 1 Clubcard point.
Look out for a series of TV adverts featuring a host of celebrities, including Martine McCutcheon, Paul Daniels, Ronnie Corbett, Alan Titchmarsh and Frankie Dettori to explain exactly how the scheme will work.
BASICALLY - Checkout staff will assess how many bags each shopper is saving and agree a number of points to be awarded. The points accumulated for re-using bags will be highlighted on Clubcard statements as"green points".
So if your shopping trolley full of goodies would normally fill 20 carrier bags, use old ones (don't have to be Tesco's either - any will do - Asda, Sainsbury's etc.) or load them into something else - and you will get 20 points at the checkout !!!
These points could mount up very quickly and be worth quite a lot in the "deals arena" and ALL FOR FREE !!!!
SO TURN GREEN and you'll be in THE PINK !!!
