Orange SPV M700 (aka. HTC Trinity / P3600)

At last, back in stock on Orange's website! (been sold out since its release date). In my opinion, the best phone currently available (also a great PDA, a WiFi Internet tablet, a portable media player with Bluetooth streaming and a GPS receiver)

- 400min + 50 texts on Racoon plan (that is 6h40min per month!), with free weekend calls to landlines on 12-month subscription
- 800min + 100 texts on Racoon plan (13h20 per month!!), with free calls to Magic Number, free anytime calls to landlines and free broadband (if you care).
Both offers also include extra stuff for the first months, like free video calls, free Internet browsing and free 3G TV.
You can still get it for £49 on £30 price plan or for £99 on £25 price plan, but when you do the maths it's thot that big a saving and you get less value for your money.

Why should you choose the M700 over the Nokia N95?
- it comes for free
- the N95 has a 5MPix camera but they're never as good as proper cameras, so don't base your decision on that (check reviews online)
- unlike the N95 it has a touchscreen and believe me, once you're used to the on-screen fully-fledged keyboard you'll never want to type a text on a keypad again
- it looks great (they have black versions available from O2 and Vodaphone on Expansys)
- there is a large community of users online (www.xda-developers.com)
- it runs Windows Mobile 5 which makes it easier to find applications (larger choice as well)

Online or in-store? It depends:
- online you'll get £25 cashback
- but in-store you can trade-in your old phone (any phone) for £50 on 12-month plans and £100 on 18-month plans...

OK, I confess, I own one myself... And I've never been so happy with a phone! ;o)
